What is PIN?

Paradoxes Insights Network is a panel of experienced professionals across a wide range of industries. As a member, you’ll be matched with paid research opportunities (surveys, interviews, product-tests) that align with your background, expertise and interests.

How do I join?
  • Complete the profiling/onboarding survey so we know your background, interests, and availability.
  • Once onboarded, you’ll begin receiving invites to participate in studies.
  • You’ll receive a PIN member ID that will help with referrals and tracking.
How are the research opportunities selected for me?
  • Based on your profile (industry, role, areas of expertise), we match you to studies where your insights will be most valuable.
  • You’ll get invites that fit your background; you choose whether to accept.
  • If a study isn’t a fit or you’re busy, you can skip it — no obligation.
What kind of studies will I be asked to do?
  • Online surveys (short/longer)
  • One-on-one interviews (phone, video, or in person)
  • Online or in-person focus groups
  • Provide feedback on concept ideas, tools, prototypes, or services
How much will I be paid?
  • Compensation varies by study length, format, and depth — generally $25–$75 for surveys and $100–$300 for 60-minute interviews.
  • You’ll be informed of compensation when invited to a study.
  • Referral bonuses are available when someone you refer participates.
What if I can’t participate in a study I’m invited to?
  • No obligation to participate in every invitation.
  • Skipping a study does not impact future eligibility.
What about confidentiality and privacy?
  • You will not be asked for proprietary employer information.
  • Your personal data will not be sold or shared externally — only used to match you to studies.
  • Research is conducted securely under standard confidentiality practices.
Will being in the panel affect my job or employer?
  • You participate independently and on your own schedule.
  • You’ll never be asked to share confidential employer material.
  • You should ensure participation aligns with your employer’s policies if applicable.
Do I need to commit a minimum amount of time?
  • No minimum time commitment.
  • You choose when you want to participate.
How often will I get invitations?

It depends on how well your profile matches available studies. Some members may receive frequent invitations, others less often.

Can I refer others?
  • You can refer colleagues or peers.
  • You earn referral compensation when they participate in a study.
  • Referrals must include your PIN member ID or referral link.
  • Referral payments are issued within 3 weeks after completion of their study.
What happens after I complete a study?
  • Compensation is paid within three weeks of completing a study.
  • Your profile remains active and eligible for future opportunities.
  • You may be asked to update your profile periodically.
How do I exit the panel if I want to?
  • Email PIN@paradoxesinc.com with your PIN member ID to deactivate.
  • Pending studies must be completed or declined.
  • All earned compensation will still be honored.
